Surgical Services - Patient Travel InformationPatients from outside of Southern CaliforniaWhile the majority of our patients come from southern California, we have patients who travel to our office outside the local geographic area and the United States. In these instances, a pre arranged telephone consultation with our surgeon and photographs of your scalp will be required. If you plan to come to Orange County for your surgery and also take vacation, you should allow one full day for the procedure plus one day relaxing day after the procedure for the healing process. On that first day after the surgery, your hair can be washed and this may be done at our office. By the second and subsequent post operative day, your scalp may be slightly tender, but you will be okay to enjoy recreational time with your family. Hair transplant surgery is ideally suited for patients who travel from outside of southern California because the healing process is relatively natural and simple. Rarely are there complications with FUE with NeoGraft and our surgeon’s personal cell phone number is given to our patients in the rare event immediate phone consultation is needed. There are several four (4) and five (5) star hotels in Orange County all within a five (5) to fifteen (15) minute travel time from our office. For our guests outside of our community we can assist with your travel arrangements at Disneyland which is five (5) miles from our office on Katella avenue. Newport Beach and the Pacific Coast is a fifteen (15) minute car drive, and shopping at South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island in Newport Beach are equally close in distance. The Pacific Coast Highway and Laguna Coast is Dr. Williams most favorite place in Orange County and is a simple twenty-five (25) minute drive on the toll freeway. Nearby Airports: (Click on the image to learn more)Flying has no impact upon hair restoration surgery. You may choose to travel home the evening of your surgery if desired. John Wayne Airport is our nearest airport and is a 10 minutes drive from our office. Long Beach Airport is a twenty (20) miles drive south. The nearest international airport is LAX airport and is normally used by our foreign and international visitors. LAX is thirty two (32) miles north of our office.
